Predictive UX is hiring a Data Scientist!

FULL-TIME, CONTRACT, REMOTE

In an increasingly connected world, massive amounts of structured and unstructured data open new opportunities. As a data scientist, you can turn these complex data sets into useful knowledge.

This role will put you in a position to work directly with our Data Practice Lead to contribute to our Data Practice. The person in this role has experience in delivery and consulting, knows Agile frameworks and methodologies, but is also able to adapt. You will be responsible for developing algorithms, writing scripts, building predictive analytics, using automation tools, applying machine learning, and using the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn disparate data points into objective answers to help the client make informed decisions. You’ll provide your customer with a deep understanding of their data, what it all means, and how they can use it.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing graph databases and graph based applications, such as knowledge graphs, recommendation engines, 360 views of the data, network mapping, etc.
  • Developing graph analytics to drive knowledge and insights for our clients
  • Implementing NLP and AI technologies
  • Building and refining ML models
  • Working quickly and accurately with a high level of professionalism, organization and collaboration
  • Working individually and as part of an engagement team
  • Working  in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Clearly documenting processes, procedures, and workflows
  • Ensure documentation is maintained and organized appropriately for each project
  • Acting as contributing team member in meetings
Qualifications:

  • Experience with machine learning, data mining, NLP, statistics, data structures, or graph algorithms in an academic or internship environment
  • Experience with graph databases and graph analytics
  • Experience working with Agile teams and familiar with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Familiarity with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) 
  • Experience modeling data
  • Experience with data cleaning
  • Knowledge of systems and data integration
  • Knowledge of data analysis or data visualization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent data gathering, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to work remotely

  • Experience with data wrangling tools
  • Experience with Big Data analysis programming techniques and technologies
  • Experience with relational databases and data pipeline
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering
This individual will help our Data Leaders manage the technical delivery projects for our clients. As with all of our positions, we are seeking independent thinkers with creative problem solving skills.
